Frequently Asked Questions

What Can I Expect from My First Visit?

During our first session, we will review important administration related to confidentiality, consent and cancellation.

You'll have the opportunity to ask any questions you have about therapy, the therapy approach we will take, and our plan for working together

At our first visit will be to get to know each other and learn more about what brings you to therapy, and start to identify your goals.

From there, it will be about working together to meet your goals.

What Should I look for in a Therapist?

"Fit" is actually one of the most important factors when looking for a therapist.  It's important that you feel comfortable, safe, and learn to trust your therapist.

Consider the following when selecting your therapist:

Is the therapist someone you feel comfortable with right out of the gate?

Is the therapist experienced and confident in their abilities? They should be able to communicate clearly the approach they take and regularly check-in around progress.

Not every therapist will be a good fit for you and that's okay!
